Mark your calendar as we offer you four (4) exciting events in March/April to enjoy!

Our first event in March is our monthly First Friday Night Dinner series....Friday March 7, 2007 at 6:15pm (order by 6:30pm) we will change venues for March and enjoy Chinese cooking at Christina Wan's located in the 600 block of N. Federal Highway in the Winn Dixie Plaza in Victoria Park. As always the price is $20/pp and includes all...rsvp by March 6th to our dinner chair Steve at: s_schwabish@yahoo.com

The second event is our Purim "HAT" party on Saturday evening March 15, 2007  from 7:30pm to 10:30pm at the local home of one of our members. Since this at a private home we will not advertise it to the public. Men's Club members and guys from CEC are encouraged to join us, you may bring a male guest. Directions will be provided upon rsvp and payment. Cost is $20/pp for Men's Club members and $25/pp for guests. HATLESS guests will face a $5 surcharge. Its like a costume party only easier because you only have to wear a hat. We held this party 3 or 4 years ago and it was a lot of fun. We will provide an open wine/soda bar, heavy appetizer's, and dessert. We will also have an Israeli gift bag swap, (Its like a Chinese auction) so please bring a NEW gift or CD (something you did not really want from Hanukah or the office Xmas party) valued from $5 to $10 and this will be a great ice-breaker. There will be prizes for best hat, most original hat and most outrageous/drag hat. We will enjoy music/dancing/and watch the boats go by...rsvp to: dyalenassc@aol.com

Our third event is the Men's Club Book Club which will meet on Sunday, March 23rd at 10:30 AM at CEC. The book for this meeting is: "Light Fell" by Evan Fallenberg.  It is published by Soho Press.  It is available at some local bookstores and I found it at Amazon.com for $17.43. You may remember that in January Evan Fallenberg came to read passages of his novel at a special Shabbat program at CEC and was well received. Publishers Weekly calls Light Fell "an ambitious debut...Fallenberg's descriptions of Israeli life, from the rural and academic arenas to the gay milieu, are credible and absorbing.  The book adroitly sketches the heartfelt struggles of a sympathetic cast."  Please rsvp to:

cecmensclub@bellsouth.net.  This will be a potluck bagel brunch.  So think of something that you can bring.

Lastly, the Men's Club is looking forward to the CEC annual Gala on Saturday April 5th where we will honor among others, one of our own members, Larry Friedlander! We hope to have a couple of Men's Club tables at the event so please make a reservation and indicate your seating preference if you desire. We will enjoy it.

As always your suggestions are welcome and NEEDED, we just want you to remember that we are an all volunteer group so we need your help along with your suggestions: Dinners, Movie or Play nights, Gallery or Education events....send ideas to:  cecmensclub@aol.com

Have a nice March/April!
